Varano acuático

La description
C’est le deuxième plus grand varan au monde, juste derrière le Dragon de Komodo. Son corps est allongé et musclé, avec une longue queue, comprimée sur les côtés et très musclée. Il est de couleur gris brun, marron foncé ou olive, avec des taches jaunes ou blanches disposées en cercles qui forment des bandes sur son dos. Le ventre est de couleur blanchâtre, avec des bandes plus foncées.

Description
Monitor lizards are the second largest types of lizard in the world, after the Komodo dragon. They have long, muscular bodies and long, muscular and laterally slim tails. They are brownish-grey, dark brown or olive coloured, with yellow or white patches arranged in circles which look like bands on its back. Their stomachs are off white with darker bands.

Description
This is one of the largest primates in the New World. It has a spherical trunk and long, slender limbs. The arms are slightly longer than the legs and the animals have a very long tail. They usually have a black fur with yelowish belly and sides.

Spiny-tailed lizard

Description
These are medium-large sized lizards of between 18 and 40cm with flat, rounded bodies and very strong, spiny tails, from which they take their name. The colouring of this saurian is very varied. Adults have a black colour on which yellow, green and orange colours stand out, accentuated in the mating season or when high temperatures are reached during sun exposure.

Solomons corella

Description
It is a small cockatoo. Its plumage is white, except for the lower part of the wings and the tail, with hints of yellow. The feathers of the crest, the cheeks and the breast have a pink coloured base. The beak is grey. The bare skin around the eyes is pale blue. The males have a dark brown iris while the female iris is reddish brown.

Galah

Description
Small, easily recognisable cockatoo. The head, neck  and lower body are a reddish pink colour, with a paler pink crest, and the lower parts of the back, wings and tail are grey.

Tropical Screech-owl

Description
A small owl with very variable colors; generally the back is grey-brown with brownish streaks and the underparts whitish with some black streaks and very fine brownish lines. The facial disc is white with a blackish border. The large eyes have yellow irises. The bill is greenish-grey with a grey tip and the legs are grey to brown. They have small but evident ear tufts that can be raised or folded back as if they were ears. 

Lagarto de cola espinosa

Descripción
Lagartos de tamaño mediano-grande de entre 18 y 40 cm con el cuerpo aplanado y redondeado y una cola espinosa y muy fuerte que les da nombre. La coloración de este saurio es muy variable. Los adultos tienen un fondo negro sobre el que destacan colores amarillos, verdes y naranjas que se acentúan en la época del celo o cuando alcanzan altas temperaturas asoleándose.

Cartel Escinco gigante de Salomón

Descripción
El escinco gigante de las islas Salomón es el escinco    más grande conocido. Se caracteriza por un cuerpo voluminoso y cabeza maciza con unas mandíbulas musculosas. Presenta unas garras fuertes y afiladas    que le sirven para trepar a los árboles, con la ayuda        de su larga cola prensil. Tiene un color verde  con tonos amarillentos o grisáceos, y en ocasiones presenta unas bandas transversales más oscuras.

Mono araña de Geoffroy

Descripción
Es uno de los primates más grandes del Nuevo Mundo. Poseen un tronco globular con unas extremidades largas y delgadas. Los brazos son ligeramente más largos que las piernas y una cola muy larga. Suelen presentar un pelaje negro con las zonas de los costados y parte ventral de color amarillento.
