Description

This is the smallest of the flamingos. Its plumage is a whitish pink, the beak dark with a red patch near the tip, the eyes red, and the legs pink and very long, but with small feet. Their toes are joined together by interdigital membranes, which is very useful for walking over mud. The pink colour of the flamingo is due to a pigment taken from the food they eat, such as algae or shrimp.

Es el flamenco más pequeño. Su plumaje es rosado blanquecino, el pico oscuro con un parche rojo cerca de la punta, los ojos rojos y las patas rosadas muy largas pero con los pies pequeños. Tienen los dedos unidos por membranas interdigitales, muy útiles para caminar sobre el lodo. La coloración rosada del flamenco, se debe a un tinte extraído del alimento que ingieren, como algas o camarones.

Ma całkowicie białe opierzenie, z krótkim grzebieniem na głowie. Nogi są długie i cienkie, w intensywnie czerwonym kolorze. Dziób na końcu łyżkowato rozszerzony i spłaszczony, żółty na końcu. U nasady dzioba i wokół oczu naga żółta skóra, w innych miejscach czarna. Samce są nieznacznie większe od samic.

Il suo piumaggio è totalmente bianco con una corta cresta sulla testa. Le zampe sono sottili, lunghe e di colore rosso intenso. Il nome proviene dalla forma del suo becco, che ha la punta larga a forma di cucchiaio ed è grigiastro con i bordi rossastri. Sul volto mostra zone calve di colore rosso. I maschi sono leggermente più grandi delle femmine.

Dieser Vogel hat ein völlig weißes Gefieder und trägt am Hinterkopf einen Schopf aus langen Federn, der aufgerichtet werden kann. Seine Beine sind lang, dünn und tiefrot. Namensgebend ist sein grauer, rotgeränderter Schnabel mit breiter, löffelförmiger Schnabelspitze. Er hat ein zum Teil unbefiedertes Gesicht mit rot gefärbter Haut. Die Männchen sind etwas größer als die Weibchen.

Leur plumage est entièrement blanc avec une crête de petite taille sur la tête. Leurs pattes sont fines et longues et de couleur rouge foncé. Ils doivent leur nom à la forme de leur bec qui a une forme de longue cuillère de couleur grise avec les bords rougeâtres. Les zones déplumées de leur tête sont de couleur rouge.  Les mâles sont légèrement plus grands que les femelles.

The spoonbill’s plumage is completely white with a short crest on the head. Its legs are long and thin and have an intense reddish colour. It takes its name from the shape of its beak, as it has a very wide tip in the form of a spoon, being greyish with reddish borders. They have bare red areas on the face. The males are generally larger than the females.

Su plumaje es totalmente blanco con una cresta corta en la cabeza. Sus patas son delgadas y largas y de color rojo intenso. A la forma de su pico le debe su nombre, pues tiene la punta ancha en forma de cuchara y  es grisáceo con bordes rojizos. En la cara muestran zonas peladas de color rojo. Los machos son ligeramente más grandes que las hembras.

Duży ptak wodny, jego opierzenie jest w większości białe, pod żuchwą posiada duży worek. Na zakończeniu dzioba znajduje się haczyk który służy do łowienia ryb. W locie łatwo jest go odróżnić od innych gatunków pelikanów, ponieważ dolna część jego skrzydeł ma kolor czarny. Nogi są krótkie i silne, w kolorze różowym, palce połączone są błoną międzypalcową.

Uccello acquatico di grandi dimensioni, colorazione essenzialmente bianca e becco lungo, provvisto di una grande borsa dilatabile che continua sulla gola. All'estremità del becco possiede un'unghia ossea, forte e curva che gli serve per catturare i pesci. In volo si distingue dalle altre specie di pellicano perché ha la parte inferiore della ali colorata di nero. Le zampe sono corte, robuste e di color rosato, con le dita unite da membrane interdigitali.
