Description

Virginia opossums are short bodied marsupials. Their fur is generally grey, but can vary between reddish, brown and even black tones, with longer, white-tipped hairs. Their faces are a pale, greyish white. Their ears are large and they have a long, hairless prehensile tail that they use as an extra limb.

Las zarigüeyas de Virginia son animales  marsupiales de cuerpo corto. Su pelaje es generalmente de color gris, pero puede variar desde un color rojizo, marrón o incluso tonalidad negruzca. Destacan unos pelos más largos de punta blanca. La cara es de un color blanco grisáceo pálido. Sus orejas son grandes. Y tiene una cola larga desprovista de pelo  y prensil que la usan como un miembro adicional.

Są to małe zwierzęta, z ciałem pokrytym gęstym futerkiem, którego kolor i długość zależą od rasy. Mają dużą głowę, z wydłużonym ryjkiem. Mają szerokie ciało i krótkie nogi oraz mały ogon, ledwie widoczny pomiędzy owłosieniem.

Etologia

Są bardo socjalne i sympatyczne. Wykorzystują godziny dzienne aby grzać się na słońcu. Są stadne, żyją w grupach i nie oddalają się za daleko od miejsca w którym śpią. Porozumiewają się wydając charakterystyczne dźwięki. Są bardzo spokojne i nie są agresywne w stosunku do ludzi.

Sono piccoli e con un’abbondante pelliccia di diversi colori e lunghezza a seconda della razza. Ha la testa grande con il muso allungato. Il corpo è voluminoso, con le zampe molto corte e una piccola coda che raramente spunta dal pelame.

Dieses kleine Nagetier trägt ein dichtes Fell, das je nach Rasse unterschiedliche Färbungen und Länge aufweist. Es hat einen großen Kopf und eine lange Schnauze. Sein Körper ist gedrungen, seine Beine sind sehr kurz und sein winziger Schwanz ist von dem dichten Fell verdeckt.

Ils sont petits et très poilus, de différentes couleurs et leur longueur dépend de la race. Leur tête est grande et le museau allongé. Leur corps est gros avec des pattes très courtes et une petite queue qui se voit à peine.

They are small, with thick coats of different colours and lengths depending on the race. Their bodies are thick with very short legs and they have a small tail that can hardly be seen among the fur. 

Ethology

They are very sociable. They take advantage of the day to sunbathe. They prefer to live in groups and they don’t move very far from where they sleep. To communicate, they make very characteristic squeals. They are very calm and friendly and will not be aggressive when in contact with humans.

Son pequeñas y con un abundante pelaje de distintos colores y longitud dependiendo de la raza. Tienen la cabeza grande con el morro alargado. Su cuerpo es grueso con las patas muy cortas y tienen una pequeña cola que raramente asoma entre el pelaje.

Największy europejski ptak z rodziny kaczkowatych. Mają szare pióra, na grzbiecie z plamami w kolorze kremowym. Boczne części ciała są ciemniejsze, z białymi paskami. Ogon jest biały, z ciemnym pasem w górnej części. Mają silne ciało i jedyna różnica między samcem i samicą to rozmiar, trochę większy u samców. Krótkie i silne nogi mają różowawy kolor, dziób ma kolor pomarańczowy.

È la più grande tra le oche europee. Ha una tonalità generalmente grigia, con le piume del dorso screziate color crema. I fianchi sono più scuri e hanno frange bianche. La coda è bianca, con una striscia scura nella parte superiore. Di aspetto abbastanza robusto, l'unica differenza che esiste tra maschi e femmine sono le maggiori dimensioni del maschio. Le zampe corte e forti presentano una tonalità rosata, mentre il becco è di color arancione.
