Description

They are robust animals, dark brown in colour with patches of white on the head and stomach. The tail is almost black and they have black streaks on their faces that go from their enormous ears to the nose. Both males and females have large antlers.

Son animales robustos de color pardo oscuro con patrones de color blanco en la cabeza y vientre. La cola es casi negra y en la cara tienen unas rayas negras que van desde las enormes orejas a la nariz. Tanto machos como hembras tienen una gran cornamenta.

Zebra ma ciało w białe i czarne pasy, tworzących „rysunek” inny u każdej zebry. Podbrzusze ma kolor biały. Daleko odstawione na boki oczy pozwalają  zebrze posiadać szerokie pole widzenia i szybko zauważać zbliżających się drapieżników. Zebra ma duże uszy, dzięki czemu ma bardzo dobry słuch. Zebry żyją do 30 lat na wolności i 40 w niewoli.

Il corpo è coperto da strisce bianche e nere che seguono uno schema unico per ogni esemplare. La zona ventrale è bianca. Gli occhi laterali, garantendo un ampio campo visivo, consentono loro di stare allerta in caso di avvicinamento di un predatore. Le orecchie ampie garantiscono un udito acuto. Possono vivere fino a 30 anni in natura e 40 in cattività.

Sein Fell weist eine charakteristische, für jedes Tier einzigartige schwarz-weiße Streifenzeichnung auf. Die Unterseite ist weiß. Seine seitlich angesetzten Augen bieten ihm ein breites Gesichtsfeld, wodurch es sich nähernde Raubtiere rasch entdeckt. Es hat große Ohren und einen gut entwickelten Gehörsinn. In freier Wildbahn liegt seine Lebenserwartung bei ca. 30 Jahren, im Zoo kann es 40 Jahre alt werden.

Verhalten

Description

Son corps est recouvert de raies blanches et noires qui sont uniques sur chaque animal. La zone du ventre est blanche. Leurs yeux latéraux leur apportent un champ visuel étendu qui leur permet d'être alertes au cas où il y aurait des prédateurs. Leurs oreilles sont grandes et ils ont une très bonne ouïe. Ils peuvent vivre jusqu'à 30 ans en liberté et 40 en captivité.

Their bodies are covered in black and white stripes, which fade to white along their legs. Each zebra has a unique stripe pattern, which identifies them similar to the fingerprint in humans. The stripes on their sides come together at their belly. They have a short mane on the back of their necks and their tail has long hair that  become black at the tips.

Presentan rayas blancas y negras en todo el cuerpo que se van desvaneciendo en las patas. Cada cebra tiene un patrón de rayas único que les permite distinguir entre individuos, similar a las huellas digitales en humanos. Las rayas de los flancos se unen debajo del vientre. Poseen una melena corta en la parte posterior del cuello. La cola tiene el pelo largo y negro al final.

Mają dużą brodę i gęsty ogon, oraz duże zakręcone rogi, dzięki którym mogą bronić się przed drapieżnikami. Ich nogi są przystosowane do poruszania się na skalistych i stromych terenach, mogą chodzić po prawie pionowych ścianach skalnych. 

Etologia

Są to zwierzęta dzienne, łączą się w stada liczące do 12 zwierząt tylko w okresie rui. Nie przywiązują się do jednego miejsca, przemieszczają się na dużych odległościach w poszukiwaniu pożywienia.

Si tratta di ruminanti dal pelo corto e marrone chiaro, che permette loro di mimetizzarsi nell’ambiente desertico in cui abitano. Hanno una fitta barba e una coda molto folta, oltre a delle grandi corna ricurve che usano per difendersi dai predatori. Gli arti sono adatti alla vita in zone rocciose e scoscese, permettendo loro di avanzare su pareti quasi verticali.
